The short version: we use two analytics tools, neither of them runs until you accept, and the site works exactly the same if you decline. We don't sell anything to advertisers and we don't run ad tracking.
A single entry in your browser's local storage recording your answer to the cookie banner, so we don't ask again on every page. It contains only "accepted" or "declined" and a version number. This one is always set — without it we'd have no way to remember that you declined.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| PostHog | Product analytics. Records which pages you visit and where people drop out of the application form, so we can fix the confusing parts. It also records session replays — with every form input masked, so the things you type are never captured. |
| Google Analytics | Aggregate traffic: how many people arrive, from where, on what kind of device. |
Before you accept, PostHog runs in memory only: no cookie, no local storage, nothing that outlives the tab, and no session recording. Google Analytics isn't loaded at all — the script is never requested. If you decline, it stays that way.
Clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again on your next visit. If you accepted and then decline, we stop recording and clear the identifier PostHog had stored.
Our full Privacy Policy covers what we do with the information you give us directly, including how to request a copy or ask us to delete it. Questions: hello@orbt.social.
